Description
Black circular sticker with text and illustration in white. Around the edge text reads "NO CRUISE MISSILES!" with an illustration of a fighter plane with "USAF" [United States Air Force] on the side.
During the 1980s, multiple British military bases were used by the UK and US militaries for housing cruise nuclear missiles. Activists from peace camps at RAF Greenham Common, Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND), and others protested nuclear programmes and the US involvement in the UK. In 1987, following the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces treaty, the cruise missiles were removed from Greenham between 1989 and 1991, with the US Air Force (USAF) leaving in 1992.
