Description
A glass mug featuring an image of a miner pulling apart ropes that are binding him. The ropes contain words such as "greed, scab, leaders, self-interest" next to an image of a pithead and the words "Leicestershire striking miners / NUM 1984-5" The badge refers to the 'dirty thirty', a group of miners from Leicester who went out on strike despite the rest of the Leicester NUM branch refusing to strike due to the lack of a national ballot. The name started out as an insult but was later reclaimed by the men and their supporters.
