Description
Black and white photograph of three people in a small boat on a still river or sea. There is a large peace sign placard on the back of the boat. On the reverse in handwriting reads "Delivering a petition to US Hythe base '88". The US Army Marine Fleet had a base at Hythe near Southampton, so the petition may have been part of the campaign to remove US military forces from UK bases during the 1980s and 90s.
