Description
Flyer for "Anti-Trident Convention, Saturday 25th Feb. 1984" at Free Trade Hall, Manchester. There is an illustration of a nuclear submarine in a red sea, with more information about Trident underneath. The reverse has the details of the convention and a tear-off slip to pay for entry at £1 individuals, £3 delegates.

Trident is the UK’s nuclear weapons programme with the stated purpose of a deterrent, according to the Ministry of Defence. It was established in 1980 and now operates out of a Royal navy base in Clyde on the west coast of Scotland. Anti-nuclear and peace activists have continually protested against Trident since its inception.
