Founded in 1921, War Resisters International is a global pacifist and antimilitarist organisation working in 40 countries to campaign against wars and promote and educate on nonviolence. Gandhi was among several high-profile members of WRI, which worked closely with the Indian independence movement from the 1920s-40s.
