Description
Circular postcard with a black and white peace symbol on one side. The other says "For a nuclear-free world...If you wouldlike to have this symbol tied to the fenceat Aldermaston in your name during CND's Easter Monday action..."
Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) is an organisation that campaigns for peace and for governments around the world to demilitarise and discard existing and new nuclear weapons programmes. The Aldermaston marches, also known as the Easter marches, took place between 1958 and 1965, with the CND organising them from 1959. There were intermittent revivals of the original march from 1972 and 2004. Tens of thousands of people attended each year.
