Description
A red poster with Jeremy Corbyn's face imposed over repeating white or red text saying 'Vote Labour'. The poster has been signed in pen by Mr Corbyn over the illustration's beard.

This poster was made during the 2019 General Election campaign, and features then Labour Party leader, Jeremy Corbyn. Mr Corbyn became Labour leader in 2015 on an anti-austerity socialist platform, which was reflected in his party manifesto for the 2019 General Election. Labour lost the election, and Mr Corbyn resigned as leader, succeeded by Keir Starmer in April 2020. The poster was designed by Mancunian artist Stanley Chow, who also designs the Transport for Greater Manchester Metrolink art, and has been exhibited at the Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art.

This poster marks both Corbyn's last election as Labour leader, and also as a Labour MP. He resigned from the party ahead of the 2024 General Election when he was informed he would not be allowed to stand as an MP. After almost 60 years as a Labour Party member, Corbyn ran against the party as an independent candidate with socialist values, and retained the Islington North seat he had held for 41 years. He remains a popular figure on the left, particularly in the anti-war and anti-austerity movements.
