Description
Black and white poster titled "THE LUCAS AEROSPACE WORKERS ROAD RAIL VEHICLE" above a design of a bus/tram-like vehicle with text explaining. It was intended as a versatile, hybrid vehicle that could serve smaller communities not connected by rail lines, by driving to pick up passengers, then transferring onto rail tracks to travel much faster speeds.

In 1974, Lucas Aerospace began cutting jobs as military contracts declined and jobs were offshored. Workers organised themselves into a Combine, developing socially useful products including cutting edge green technologies and dialysis machines. However, these plans were never implemented despite union and Labour pressure on company management. Many workers left to establish the Centre for Alternative Industrial Technologies (CAITS).
