Description
Printed leaflet titled "Operation Christmas Card" in which members of Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) sent thousands of Christmas and New Year cards to individuals and organisations in the Soviet Union, German Democratic Republic (East Germany), and Czechoslavakia [contemporary names of countries] opposing nuclear weapons. It hoped to "open up dialogue between the British Peace Movement and...ordinary citizens in the East." On the reverse side is the printed Chrismtas message.
