This report, produced by Black Women's Rape Action Project and Women Against Rape was created to document the rape and sexual abuse experienced by women and children detained in the Yarl's Wood Immigration Removal Centre between 2005-2015.

Immigration detention is used by the state to detain people who have lost their applications for refuge in this country - detention can be used indefinitely, and has documented lasting negative impacts on detainees, even after release. People detained can be at risk of harm from other detainees, or boarder security staff, and this report documents known cases of sexual violence within the women's removal centre. The impact of detention on vulnerable people is a key critique of the anti-detention movement.
