Round green badge, "Bobby Sands" in black in the centre, on a large V in the background. At the top in smaller text is "SPTAC" referring to Smash the Prevention of Terrorism Act Campaign, which was a front group created by the Revolutionary Communist Tendency in 1979. Bobby Sands was a member of the Provisional Irish Republican Army (IRA) who died on hunger strike while imprisoned in Maze Prison in Northern Ireland. During Sands' strike, he was elected to the UK Parliament as an Anti H-Block candidate - the H-blocks refer to the blocks of Maze Prison.
