Description
Round black badge, "Free the Bradford 12" in bold white text on a red ribbon across the bottom edge. Curving around the top edge in white is "Black Community on Trial". The background illustration is white prison bars with the silhouette of hands on the bars.

The Bradford 12 refers to 12 members of the United Black Youth League, a splinter group from the Asian Youth Movement, who in 1981 were charged with 'conspiracy to cause explosives and endanger lives’ when they were involved in making petrol bombs to use in self-defence at a planned fascist march through Bradford. The fascist march never took place and the bombs were never used. There was an active campaign to support the twelve people and criticise the racism of the police and justice system. They were eventually acquitted.
