Description
Screenprinted poster, "Enjoy Ireland's Living Arts and Culture...Ireland Entertains" in white at the top left. In the centre is a orange print photograph of an older white man playing a violin. In smaller text underneath the title is "Film: Over Here (Irish Music and Dance in Britain) Scoraiocht: Coming Home from the Fair (Folk Drama)". To the right of the orange photograph is "Concert of traditional Irish music, song & dance - Art exhibition - Video shows - Licensed bar". The event was hosted at Brent Town Hall, Wembley.

This poster was made by Paddington Printshop, a community graphic design and print workshop in West London, co-founded by John Phillips and Pippa Smith. Between 1975-1991, the centre printed over 400 designs for left-wing community organisations. These publicised local political campaigns such as housing rights and food co-ops, to social gatherings including play days, gardening clubs, gigs and festivals. Their do-it-yourself style was part of the proto-punk ethos.
