Description
Programme, James Connolly and Bobby Sands Commemoration Day, Saturday 16 May 1987, Conway Hall London.

The front of the programme shows black and white photographs of Connolly and Sands with their names. A black square containing the words "I nDIL CHUIMHNE" (In your memory) is between the two photographs. Details of the speakers are printed beneath: Brian McDonald, SinnFein Director of Publicity, Jeremy Corbyn MP, Peter Beresford Ellis author of The Rising of the Moon, and Francis M Blake author of The Irish Civil War. In the bottom left hand corner is a black and white image of Theobald Wolfe Tone. The event was organised by the Wolfe Tone Society.

The back of the programme has two quotes, one from James Connolly and one from Bobby Sands.

James Connolly was a republican and trade union leader who was executed for his part in the Easter Rising of 1916.

Bobby Sands was a member of the Irish Republican Army (IRA) who died on hunger strike whilst imprisoned at HM Prison Maze in Northern Ireland.
