Description
Flyer by Anti-Fascist Action (AFA) Protesting Jean-Marie Le Pen at Conservative Conference fringe events, 1987. 'French Fascist leader at Conservative Conference'

The flyer is printed on yellow paper. The front shows an image of Le Pen, surrounded by newspaper headlines and articles which highlight Le Pen's views regarding the Holocaust.

Under the title 'Who is Jean-Marie Le Pen?' the reverse explains who Le Pen is, and why his presence at Conservative Conference events should be protested. This includes information under headings such as "Front National", "Racist", "Torture", "European Fascist Co-ordination" and "Presidential Elections". At the bottom of this page is information about who is organising the meeting.

Le Pen founded the French far-right National Front party in 1972. He was an extremist on race, gender and immigration and would also play down the Holocaust. The 1987 invitation to Conservative Party Conference fringe events was rescinded following strong anti-fascist protests.
