Yellow flyer, with 'NEVER MIND THE LORDS HERE'S THE HOUSE of the PEOPLE' printed on the front in the style of the Sex Pistol's Never Mind the Bollocks album. 'ARISTOCRATS & OLICARCHS: OUT POSTIES, MUMS, NURSES, & NEIGHBOURS: IN REPLACE THE HOUSE OF LORDS TO SAVE THE UK' is printed on the reverse with a QR code underneath. Created by House of the People.
On 20 March 2025 protestors disrupted a House of Lords session with calls for the abolition of the upper chamber. Around six protestors, chantging "Lords out, people in" threw these leaflets into the chamber. The debate was paused whilst the protestors were escorted out.
House of the People is organised by Time to Assemble, groups calling for community and citizen-led democracy. Abolition of the House of Lords forms one of their key aims, to allow people to have the opportunity to set parliament's agenda.
