Description
White flyer with black text. The text on the front reads 'NO MORE LORDS'. On the reverse is the building block logo of the House of the People with "House of the People NOW" printed in black. Beneath the text is a QR code.
On 20 March 2025 protestors disrupted a House of Lords session with calls for the abolition of the upper chamber. Around six protestors, chanting "Lords out, people in" threw these leaflets into the chamber. The debate was paused whilst the protestors were escorted out.
House of the People is organised by Time to Assemble, groups calling for community and citizen-led democracy. Abolition of the House of Lords forms one of their key aims, to allow people to have the opportunity to set parliament's agenda.
