1926 General Strike

Description
A one page issue of the Daily Mirror dated Monday May 10th 1926. It is printed in the General Strike format with no pictures or special formatting and only underlining marking the titles of each articles.

The 1926 General Strike took place over nine days before it was called off by the TUC on May 12. This unsuccessful conclusion happened after nine days where millions of workers went on strike in solidarity with striking mineworkers who were opposing proposals to increase their work day while simultaniously cutting their pay. For the majority of the strike, newspapers could only produce scaled-down print-only issues as the printers were on strike too.
