Description
This union represented the 'spidermen' who worked erecting the steel frames of modern buildings. It joined the Amalgamated Union of Engineering Workers in 1970. The banner quote reads "Workers of the World Unite" - possibly the most famous quotes from the Communist Manifesto, written by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engles in 1848.
