Description
Before the formation of the Labour Party in 1906 the South Poplar Labour League in East London tried to elect working people to local government bodies like the Poor Law Guardians.

The style of the banner follows the Arts and Crafts movement.

Materials: Single side banner with ground of crimson piece-dyed linen and replacement lining of polyester-cotton. Painted design and lettering.
