Description
In 1889 Printworkers in London suffering long hours, low pay and dangerous conditions formed the Printers Labourers Union. Due to increased semi-skilled membership the union became the Operative Printers Assistants' Society in 1899. It attained national status in 1904 when a branch was opened in Manchester.

Since then NATSOPA has encompassed several organisations allied to the printing industry.

Materials: painted polyester.

Could be by Ken Spague as he liked bright colours and the 'arty' letter design here. c.1960?
