The photographed members include Xolile Yona, Myner Gudlani Bovu, Boy Japhta, Justice Bekebeke, Wellington Masiza, Gideon Madlongolwane, Evelina de Bruin, and Andrew Lekhanyane. The rest of the group do not have photographs but instead have their names written within lback squares with a caption reading "photographs not obtained" and this includes Kenneth Khumalo, Zuko Xabendlini, Tros Gubala, Zongo Mokgatle, David Lekkanyane, and Albert Tywili. Text at the top of the poster reads "SAVE THE UPINGTON 14" and text at the bottom reads "NO APARTHEID EXECUTIONS" This poster was produced by the Southern Africa The Imprisoned Society (SATIS) and the Anti-Apartheid Movement.
Anti-apartheid supporters picketed the South African Embassy in London calling for clemency for the Upington 14. After an international campaign for their release, the sentence was overturned in May 1991
