Description
At the centre of the plate is the chartist crest, flanked by a man with a shovel and a woman with a rake. Above the crest is the eye of God, a beehive and a wheat sheaf. Around the edge of the plate are cameo portraits of six leading Chartists: Feargus O'Connor, William Chadwick, Thomas Cooper, Henry Heatherington, Julian Harney and William Lovett.
