Description
The Amalgamated Society of Woodworkers was founded in 1920. It continued under this name until 1970 when it merged with the Amalgamated Society of Painters and Decorators to become the Amalgamated Society of Woodworkers and Decorators. This society then merged with the Amalgamated Union of Building Trade Workers in 1971 and became UCATT.
