Description
Booklet or membership card for the ICWPA (International Class War Prisoners Aid) British Section. The front of the card shows prison bars with a pair of chained hands reaching out, holding a red handkerchief. Inside is information about the member, and twelve stamps that have been added, signed and dated. The date on all stamps is 31.01.1929.
The ICWPA was formed to provide legal, financial and moral support to workers who were imprisoned or lost jobs due to direct action.
