Paper notice addressed ‘To Mill Managers, Mule and Ring Overlookers, Cardmasters, Loom Overlookers, and other persons holding responsible positions.’ about the injury to workman through negligence of fellow-workmen, payment of compensation and claims by employer to be indemnified by fellow-workmen under the Factory Act.


The creation of this notice followed by the story of a young man employed at a cotton mill who had ear torn off through negligence of two fellow workmen. The persons named at the head of the notice will be held liable in cases where they have neglected to put guards on machines or by leaving them off when any repairs have been completed.
