'The Suffragee' sung by Jock Mills, 1908.

Recording of Jock Mill's satirical response to the 'Women's Sunday' rally held in Hyde Park on 21 June 1908. The middle verses of the song allude to the rally at Hyde Park, the Suffragettes' failure to enter the Houses of Parliament and the breaking of windows at 10 Downing Street on 30 June 1908.

The record features a black and gold label, with the front reading 'Hmoophon Company G.M.B.H. The Suffragee sung by Mr. Jock Mills. 6816. Recorded in London. Pressed in Berlin'. The reverse reads the same, but with the title of the piece being 'The Lokal Candidate' and the pressing number being '6814'.

Jock Mills was advertised as 'The Wise Man', and sung comedic songs at music halls, interspersed with knowing monologues. The Suffragee was recorded on 8 September 1908.
