Description
A street scene, with the view fousing down a street or alleyway between two buildings. On the right (viewing) is a church and opposite, on the left side, is a grand grey stone building with a julliet balcony. At the end of the street is a canal with boats moored on the opposite bank. On the far side of the canal are four figures - a couple, one figure sitting under a tree, and one last person walking. The bank includes houses in yellow and white, with terracotta roofs, built from the water up a hill. The hill, in the background, has e=very limited detail.
The brush strokes outlining the buildings are very strong, giving a definite white line between each section of the scene.
