There is writing in French on the bottom of the poster; this translates to "Long live the 40th Anniversary, The socialist Revolution October 1917, The French Communist Party." There is an address on the bottom right - "P.P1. 26. Rue Clavel. Paris." This poster was issued by the French Communist Party, celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the October 1917 Revolution. The October Revolution, officially known as the Great October Socialist Revolution under the Soviet Union, also known as the Bolshevik Revolution, was a revolution in Russia led by the Bolshevik Party of Vladimir Lenin that was instrumental in the larger Russian Revolution of 1917–1923. The poster is in a good moderately good conditions, but there is a tear in
the centre, with rips on both bottom edges.
