Poster, damaged and in two parts, "England Under Free Trade, America Under Retaliation", published by the Imperial Tariff Committee.
The two sides of the poster show differing images; the one of England's possible outcome under the proposed Free Trade, and the other of America's prosperity from such an arrangement.
Tariff Reform called for new protectionist tariffs, to encourage trade from within Britain and the Empire - it was not agaisnt all trade, but only against Free Trade with countries outside of the British Empire, which were thought to weaken Britain.
