Round black and white badge, "Support The Ambulance Crews" and an ambulance image. This badge was created to show solidarity with ambulance workers and support their strike against poor working conditions, including low pay, excessive workloads, and insufficient staffing.
There was a significant British ambulance strike in 1989-1990 over pay for ambulance crews. The government pay offer of 7.5% was rejected, and five ambulance workers unions demanded a 25.8% rise. This strike was during Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher's leadership.
