The Communist Party published a book of the same name in 1983 and the slogan was also widely used in the peace movement during the 70's and 80's.
The poster has a blue background with green fields at the bottom. The words 'Jobs not bombs' are written in white and are reminiscent of clouds. A plane flied in the upper right corner, trailing the words behind it. This gives the impression that it is sky-writing.
