Large black an white Communinst Party poster - says "STOP THEIR MADNESS. CLOSE U.S BASES NOW!' At the bottom of the postet it says "7 days - The Communist Party paper." The communist newspaper was called 7 days. Then says "Published by the Communist Party 16 St. John ST. London EC1 1BL. Two black and white photos side by side in the centre of the poster - the left photo is of Ronald Reagan's side profile. The one of the right is Margaret Thatcher doing a speech. The poster saying 'stop their madness' is referring to Reagan and Thatcher's Cold War policy of strong defence, rejecting detente and the determination to beat the Soviet Union. The second statement on the poster 'Close U.S bases now' is referring to the use of trident missiles, nuclear weapons and bombs. The political relationship between Reagan and Thatcher has been described as close and as "ideological soul-mates.' In a mostly good condition, with some creases in the poster.
