Description
A cardboard placard with a photo of Boris Johnson in the centre surrounded by blue writing which says 'Don't let Boris steal your future'.

The placard was made in protest to the Prorogation of Parliament in 2019 and used at a protest in Manchester. In September 2019, Prime Minister Boris Johnson recommended the prorogation (or suspension) of Parliament to HRH Queen Elizabeth II, who suspended Parliamentary sittings for five weeks. The timing of the prorogation, which would have allowed Parliament to reconvene just 17 days before the scheduled departure of the United Kingdom from the European Union, was seen by many as an unlawful attempt for the Government to avoid Paliamentary scruitiny of their 'Brexit' plans. The Supreme Court found that the prorogation was unlawful and Parliament was reconvened.
