Description
A communist party "jobs not bombs" poster, around 1980 The slogan 'jobs not bombs' was popularised in the 1970's as part of the peace movement. In this poster the Communist Party of Great Britain are using it as an election slogan, imploring people to "vote communist". The poster is orange with white lines in the shape of an 'I'. 'Jobs not bombs' is written in red letters at the top of the poster, with 'bombs' descending vertically. The bottom reads "vote communist" and has a box with a cross in, reminiscent of a voting slip. The poster was printed by Farleigh Press and published by the Communist Party of Great Britain (CPGB). Writing on the back of the poster reads: Jobs not bombs CP election blank
