Description
Poster advertising the 10th Communist University of London, July 15-23, 1978. The Communist University of London (CUL) ran from 1968 to 1982 and offered various classes and workshops for people to come and learn about communist philosophy. The events were accessible for a small fee and accomodation could be provided upon requst. This poster features the words 'movements', 'events', and 'ideas', written in crayon-like font in pink, green, and yellow. The date '1968' stands to the side with text underneath reading "What does 1968 mean to you? For CUL it meant a beginning...". Large black text in the centre of the poster reads "10th Communist University of London". Courses that people can expect to see available are listed at the bottom, inlcuding: Introduction to Marxism, Women's Liberation Movement, and Strategies for revolution in Western Europe. Condition: the poster is yellowed, with tape marks at the top and tears and rips all along the left side and bottom. Some of the words are hard to make out due to rips along the edges.
