Description
A white poster featuring large black text reading: "Naked Agression America's Murder in Grenada" and smaller black text underneath reading: "U.N. Security Council voted 11 to 1 condemning this invasion and act of naked agression. Add your protest now!" The poster has been screen printed by the Watford Communist Party in response to the US invasion of Grenada and overthrow of the People's Revolutionary Government. During the Cold War, the US and Eastern Bloc were united against communist influence and as a result often tried to stop it's spread. The Reagan administration's invasion of Grenada was deemed unlawful by the UN Security Council (apart from the US, who vetoed the decision). Margaret Thatcher, who was Prime Minister at the time, opposed the invasion, although Britain abstained from the UN vote that condemned it.
