Description
An A2 silk-screen print of a tank and figures running away from it. There is also a large stack of weapons to the left of the tank, upon which three crying faces can be seen. This is the fourth in a portfolio of anti-military prints created by the political cartoonist Ken Sprague in 1968. In the preface to the collection Sprague cautions against people only looking for references to the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia in his work, as it is intended to be a wider anti-military statement. The three teardrops in this print represent other military campaigns such as the one in Munich, Germany.
