Blair Peach died as a result of being hit over the head by police. He, along with thousands of others, was demonstrating against the National Front in Southall, West London. No police officer was ever charged or prosecuted in relation to his death which raised serious concerns about the use of excessive force and the lawless behaviour of police officers from the Metropolitan Police Special Patrol Group while policing the demonstration. Peach was a anti-racist, anti-Nazi protester.
