Description
Large white poster with black writing saying "Communists say No Cruise Missiles in Britain." Underneath this text is a missile/combat plane with star logo symbolising the air force. Underneath the plane, there is a printed illustration of a map-like outline of Britain - this is red. Red symbolises communism, but the drawing of Britain also looks like a blood splatter - this could represent the bloodshed caused by cruise missiles. There is a target symbol on top of this drawing of Britain. Cruise missiles are a guided missile used against terrestrial targets. America deployed them in the U.K as a nuclear deterrent during the Cold War. The British Royal Navy also operates U.S cruise missiles. This poster is anti-missiles, anti-war, anti-military and pro-disarmament
