Description
Red and white large poster. White background and red text. Says "Great Communist Rally. Hyde Park Sunday, September 13 3.PM. Subject- general election. Speakers John Gollan and candidates." This poster is advertising a rally to listen to speakers and generally demonstrate before the 1964 general election. The Labour Party won, and Harold Wilson became prime minister. John Gollan was a leader of the Communist Party of Great Britain. The back of the poster has some handwritten text in blue pen, saying "D/C posters - August 1964 (for bus and adverts) September 13th. Hyde Park Rally." The poster is slightly creased, with yellow marks on the back.
