A large poster with multiple photographs and paragraphs of text, similar to the layout of a newspaper. The poster is titled "Die Saat des Faschismus geht auf!" or " the seeds of fascism are growing". This poster was made around the time of the West German and German Democratic Republic (GEDR) student movement in May 1968. After the attempted assassination of socialist student leader Rudi Dutschke by far-right member Josef Bachmann, students in the GDR protested what they saw as the rising fascism in West Germany. This poster promoted the GDR ahead of the 1968 referendum on the new constitution and compares it to West Germany, which it claims is pushing for 'German imperialism'
