Description
A small blue poster with a white border. This poster was produced by the Communist Party of France in 1957 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the October Revolution, the event which saw the Soviet Union rise to power. The poster features two smiling figures, one French and one Soviet holding a sign, behind which stand the Eifel Tower and the Red Square, famous landmarks in France and Russia. The countries respective flags stand at the peak of their monuments and white doves circle around them both. Yellow text in the centre reads "40th" whilst white letters in the sign that the figures hold reads "anniversary of the socialist revolution of 1917" (translated from French).
