Description
A small red poster with a white text box and photo of first Independent Labour M.P (West Ham) and later the founding leader of the Labour Party, Keir Hardie. This poster is advertising a centenary exhibition of Keir Hardie being elected independent Labour MP in 1892. The exhibition ran from the 30th May to the 30th November 1992 at the Passmore Edwards Museum in Stratford, London. Text around the photo of Keir Hardie lists the platform he ran on: "Democratic government / Healthy homes / Fair rents / Work for the unemployed / Eight-hour day / Justice to labour". The poster was designed by Jes Holden.
