This poster is part of a collection of 100 posters designed by Ettore Vitale for the Italian Socialist Party (PSI) between 1973 and 1991. The posters promote a range of events and campaigns using the colours of the Italian flag- red, white, and green, along with motifs of roses, rainbows, and stars. This poster celebrates 90 years of the socialist publication 'Avanti!' (English: forward) which ran from 1896 to 1986 and was the leading socialist publication asociated with the PSI. It features a newspaper cover which the text "A90" can be seen in large black letters. The headline on the newspaper reads "The Italian company has acheived great success" (translated) Black text at the bottom of the poster reads "The newspaper of changing Italy / 1896-1986, the 90th anniversary of Avanti!" (translated).
