The cartoon shows Andreotti's figure sat on an arm chair which is covered in the American flag. Surrounding Andreotti there are many different figures drawn around him, such as soldiers, and spies. There is black text in Italian at the bottom of the poster, the English translation of this is "Andreotti's armchair: The symbol of a politics based on intrigue, tolerance and complicity towards neo-fascism: the real plot. " Anreoti was staunchly anti-communist, and supported neo-liberal economics. He was subjected to criminal prosecutions and charged with colluding with an Italian Mafia organisation. The cartoon shows different figures surrounding him, and the caption discusses "intrigue" - this could pertain to his mafia ties, murder allegations and other conspiracies about his associations with anti-communist forces.
