Part of "100 posters, socialist image, designed by Ettore Vitale for the direction of the Italian Socialist Party." This is part of a collection of one hundred Italian Socialist Party posters designed by artist, Ettore Vitale. This poster is a large with a white background. This poster has a red square, and underneath it says "Nenni" in large italics. Underneath this the text reads "Pietro Nenni, Hero and Witness of a Century. 1891-1991." Pietro Sandro Nenni was an Italian socialist politician, the national secretary of the Italian Socialist Party and lifetime Senator since 1970. He was a recipient of the Stalin Peace Prize in 1951. He was one of the founders of the Italian Republic and a central figure of the Italian left from the 1920s to the 1960s. He lived in exile from 1926 in Paris, during this time he made a contribution to the survival of the Italian Socialist Party. The poster suggests he died in 1991, butother sources online state he died in 1980. This is poster is in good condition.
