Description
A white flyer with large block letters reading "WAR" and red bloodstains in the shape of the Falklands. This flyer was produced in 1982, advertising a march in protest of the Falklands war, an undeclared war between the UK and Argentina over island territories in the South Atlantic Ocean.
Full text reads: "War... it's a dying business / Stop the killing in the South Atlantic / Call a truce now- Resolve the Falklands Conflict by peaceful means through the United Nations"
The flyer was printed and published by Spark Communications for the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND). Text on the back reads: "End the Falklands Madness / RALLY FOR PEACE / Sunday, 16th May, 2.00pm / Assemble: Tower Hill (by tower bridge) March via Fleet Street to rally in Jubilee Gardens, County Hall / Speakers from church, peace and labour movement" This is followed by a list of speakers and organisations that were to be at the event.
