Description
This is an A5 leaflet discussing the dangers of nuclear weapons. It was produced by the World Disarmament Campaign, an initiative set up by the United Nations (UN) which was active between the years 1983 and 1991.

The front of the leaflet is blue and features an illustration of a nuclear missile with eyes and a frown. Snow and ice cover the missile and the background. White text at the top of the leaflet reads: "Time for a nuclear freeze?"

Inside the booklet gives information about nuclear weapons, using headings such as: "Does the world need more nuclear weapons? / What are the dangers? / How can we avoid this danger? How will the freeze be verified? Would the freeze be verified? / What happens after the freeze? What can you do about the freeze?"

The concept of a nuclear freeze gained popularity during the 1980's as tensions from the Cold War were rising. A nuclear freeze refers to stopping the creation, testing, and deployment of nuclear weapons.
