Description
This portfolio collection is 1/4 of a larger collection of fifty posters produced for the Italian Socialist Party (PSI) from 1892 to 1970. This part consists of 14 posters produced for the PSI between 1892 and 1916. This poster is designed to look like the front cover of a newspaper titled "Red Carnation" published on the 1st May 1905 (May Day) and features an image of women carrying red flags, torches, and children as they march next to men in coats and hats. This was originally designed in 1905 but reproduced around 1970.
